NURTURE AND CARE MINISTRY:
Alvin Mills is performing our Nurture and Care Ministry.  He would be happy to have volunteers to assist him.  To this point he has called our home-bound members and visited the sick in the hospitals.  He has to this point visited six hospital patients in Winchester and has visited with other members in their homes.  He and Pastor Karen visited shut-ins and administered communion on the 25th  of June. Anyone interested in this ministry should contact Alvin Mills 304-725-4633. If anyone has anything they would like to discuss with Alvin, or feels they would benefit from a visit, then please contact him.  He will be able to assist in training volunteers for this worthy ministry.

ALUMINUM CAN DRIVE:
Please remember to save your cans for the layette project.  You can drop off the cans at any time at the church.  The monies from these cans go toward the purchase of items needed for the layettes.

LAYETTES FOR BABIES:
To date:  Ms Irene Seal has completed and delivered 75 quilts and 37 layettes on the 25th of June for the layette ministry to the Lutheran Warehouse in New Windsor Md.   Supplies are needed for the baby layette program.  Items needed to complete one layette are:  two gowns, two “onsies” or undershirts, two receiving blankets, one bar of soap, two pins, TWO washcloths, (correction from the last newsletter) four diapers and a sweater or jacket size 24mo or younger.  Irene Seal would welcome any and all contributions or assistance in putting the layettes together and delivering them to the warehouse.  She can also use old bedding,
T-Shirts, material, overalls etc to use for the quilts. If any of our members knit or crochet and would like to make some of these items, it would be greatly appreciated.  Please contact Ms Seal at 304-725-5736.  Contributions are always welcome!
